Blücher Battery (Ustka Fortress)

Based on the facilities of the Blücher Battery, fragments of the historical and military trail called "Ustka Fortress History Park" are being created. This place is intended to provide knowledge about the history of Ustka's bunkers and Ustka itself in an accessible, modern, interactive form. Part of the designed park is the basement, where a thematic exhibition called "Interactive Bunker of Ustka History" is being created.

In this virtual bunker museum, each room has its own secret and attraction. The virtual fitting room is particularly interesting, where everyone can dress up in any military outfit from World War II, take a photo in it or send it to Facebook. Many people will remember the hall of thrills with loud spatial sound effects, e.g. a simulation of a bomb attack and chilling war films.

A galaxy of mannequins, including virtual ones, impressive dioramas, three-dimensional models of the bunker, multi-touch screens, and thanks to light, image and sound effects will surprise many visitors. The surprise is a wall with peepholes; by looking into them as if through a keyhole, the viewer “discovers” various situations from everyday life in the bunker on the illuminated slides and screen.

In this unusual space, a number of multimedia materials were presented in the form of photos and old plans of Ustka, also in three dimensions, to make visitors realize how important the battery in Ustka and the large port being built there were for the German armed forces. Visitors will also see a map: “Ustka – alternative history, or what would happen if a real fortress was built here.”

The tour takes place in an organized way – with a guide or on your own, also with the use of multilingual individual “audio guides”.
