The Museum of the the Vistula Lagoon is located right next to the port in Katy Rybackie, the museum collects monuments related to the history of fishing and boatbuilding in the Vistula Lagoon.
The exhibition, not coincidentally located in the former boatbuilding workshops, presents:
- traditional fishing boats, including a 10-meter sail-propelled barge,
- fishing tools from the late 19th and early 20th centuries,
- as well as the historic boatbuilding workshop of the Schmidt family from Laszka near Sztutowo
The exhibition is enriched by:
- a car for transporting a rescue boat,
- tools for ice fishing,
- a unique ice-boat “Ludowy 8”
- an artistic accent – the unusual sculpture “Lodz” by Dominik Kotarba, made of tens of thousands of sticks thrown by the sea
The museum is also a space for educational activities related to the history of fishing and thematic temporary exhibitions.
