The depth of this lake is 11.0 m. It is located within the area of the Zaborski Landscape Park south of Laska, in the Valley of Ribbon Lakes (Dolina Jezior Rynnowych).
The bottom near the shoreline is overgrown with fields of lake lobelia, which is a water quality indicator from which this type of lake takes its name. Lake quillwort, floating water-plantain and Nymphaea candida are also extant here. The banks around the lake feature round-leaved sundews and bog-rosemary. To protect its valuable natural assets, it is only possible to enter the reserve upon individual consent from the Voivodeship Governor. Along the eastern border of the lake runs the green Zaborski Route (Brusy-Drzewicz).
