Water Power Pruszcz II on Radunia river

Due to the layout of the water route in Pruszcz it was possible to build a new power plant on the old riverbed of Radunia. The implementation of the project started after the flood that took place in July 2001. It turned out that the capacity of the Canal Radunia is too small to take over the entire storm water flowing from the upper terraces of Gdansk. It was decided to implement the project for the construction of a new hydroelectric power plant, which now is responsible for water collection. The new facility, with a capacity of 250kW, is fully automated and connected to the hydroelectric power plant Pruszcz I, thus it is possible to manage the work of the two objects, depending on hydrological conditions.
