The Town of Skarszewy

Apart from the mediaeval network of streets, Skarszewy also has municipal fortifications, along with the remains of the Joannites’ castle and several other, mainly 19th-Century, buildings. However, the market is the most characteristic. The town houses of the richest citizens, such as “Dom Wojewodów” (“Voivodes’ House”) or “Dom pod Gutenbergiem” (“Gutenbergs’ House”) were located around the market. The market also contains the most important structures for the citizens, including the town hall.
