The church in Starogard Gdański is considered among the greatest examples of Gothic architecture in Pomerania.
Worth particular attention in the building are marvellously-shaped gables crowning the nave and the aisles, which, some churches in Gdańsk and Pelplin Cathedral aside, are unrivalled in Pomerania. Inside, you will be enchanted with its historical decor, with the noteworthy Baroque and Rococo altars and pulpit.
The most precious element is, however, the Gothic polychrome, discovered in the 1950s, ornamenting the chancel arch. It depicts Judgement Day and its authorship is ascribed to Flemish painters.
