Peter and Paul, the Apostles’ Church in Pogódki

However, the monks were not too pleased with the location, thus it was change by the Duke in 1274. In 1276, the Cistercians left Pogódki and moved to Pelplin, where they ran their business until the year 1823, when the occupation authorities closed the monastery down. The baroque Peter and Paul, the Apostles’ Church from 1701 is a single-aisle building with post-Cistercian furnishings, including the main altar with the 15th century figure of the Mother of Christ of Pogódki, the baroque altar of the Holy Cross and the baroque baptism font and pulpit.
