The Townhouse of Zygmunt Peszkowski

It was designed by a renowned architectural duo from Warsaw: Wlodzimierz Prochaska (later professor at the Technical University of Gdansk) and Stanisław Odyniec-Dobrowolski. This building with a geometric shape with distinctive corner balconies in the shape of the letter “L” and bathrooms with skylights, originally was to have three floors with a corner, eventually was raised by one floor. Initially it was the place of “Esplanade” club, then, after the reconstruction – a cinema “Bajka” and a theater. The building is one of the elements of Gdynia Modernism Route, located on Route 1.
