Thanks to this corner part of the building has 6 storeys. Its last storey is moved backward from the front line. This building, which was built between 1936 and 1938, belongs to the moderate modernism style, and its designer clearly referred to the Paged tenement house which you can find in the same street under number 44. Ground floor of this building meets 3 of the Le Corbusier’s five points of architecture: “pilotis”, “open floor plan” and “free facade” (from the Świętojańska Street) – behind the ground floor window you can see the column construction. In the asymmetrical corner there are protruding rounded balconies. The vertical segment is emphasized by slender pillars in the balconies’ line. This building is on Gdynia modernism route.
