The Poganice hydroelectric power plant on the Łupawa

The convenient location is an encouragement for tourists travelling in the north-western part of the Voivodeship. In the early 20th Century a mill stood here, and the plant itself has only operated since 1980. It is equipped with a Francis turbine, 4.64 m3/s maximum discharge and 50 KM of power. It is propelled by a 64 kW generator. The plant takes advantage of the energy resources of the Łupawa River, annually producing up to 430 thousand kWh of energy. Just beside the station there is a seven-span weir, which makes the water fall from 2 m.
