Potters Gate in Malbork

It was one of the elements of a system allowing for the communication with the city from the east. The gate is a drive-through, designed on a rectangular plan, with three spans, five storeys made of bricks. Its hipped roof is covered with tiles. The upper parts of the gate are decorated with pointed-arch blinds. Potters Gate is located in the fortifications surrounding the Old City. In the 30s of 20th century inside in the gate there was established a youth hostel. It was partially damaged in 1945. In 1955 the gate undergone renovation.
