The elusive charm of Pomeranian ”pearls”, attractive to tourists and residents, draws both to the more and the less-known places across the whole region.

Chinaware Factory "Lubiana SA"

In Lubiana, about 9 km from Koscierzyna, there is Poland's largest and most modern factory of chinaware "LUBIANA" SA

The company employs more than 1,400 people, produces 3.5 million products monthly. Each year more than 12 000 tons of porcelain leaves the factory. The factory supplies tableware to the most reputable hotels - Polish and foreign. The quality of its products is so appreciated that 90% of the products are sold abroad.

Lubiana products received a lot of popularity due to the cult French film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Amelie" with Audrey Tautou in the title role, where in one scene, "starred" the Kashubian porcelain set of tableware. The original design was introduced by an engineer Dr. Benedict Karczewski.

The factory also organizes tours of the factory in Lubiana. Guided tour takes over an hour. Visitors pass directly next to the production lines, ovens and design workshop. After leaving the factory, there is an opportunity to purchase souvenirs in the company shop. Lubiana porcelain can also be relatively cheaply bought in a shop in Koscierzyna.
