The Sanctuary in Piaseczno

If the legend is to be believed, the poor cripple saw someone referred to as the “Beautiful Lady” in the linden limbs. She told him to take a drink of water from the spring which had suddenly burst from the ground. The boy was healed and the linden wood served an unknown artist as material to sculpt the figure of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. With time, the legend began to spread and Piaseczno began to be visited people searching for supernatural help in their misery. This was how the sanctuary was created. To this day, it is eagerly visited and is a significant location on the Pomeranian map of the Marian cult.
