The route starts in a car park near Lake Okuniewo. W start walking north along a good-quality dirt road and after 700m enter the forest. After 300m, following the route’s signs we turn left. After 1,7 km from the beginning of the walk we reach a crossroads. We come across a stone signpost informing about the direction of each road. We head for Grabowiec. 500m further we reach the buildings in the hamlet of Rodówko. We do exercises and turn left. We walk west between buildings and after 400m reach a bus stop. The red route also follows this road. For 500m the road goes steeply uphill and than downhill. After 3,2 km from the beginning of the walk we reach the point where the routes split. The black route turns right and we turn left. We walk through the forest following the signs and we come to a clearing. On the left the buildings of Okuniewo can be seen in the distance. After 500m we can see Lake Okuniewo. A moment later we reach a historic cobbled highway called Via Regia – the Royal Road widely known in Poland as ‘kocie łby’ (‘cats’ heads’). A road like this is a rarity nowadays. After verifying our skills on this unusual surface (200m) we turn left and we reach the car park where we started our walk.
