Pension Albatros

Designed in the functional style, with offset facade. It was designed in 1930 by Stanisław Odyniec-Dobrowolski, who graduated from Faculty of Architecture at Warsaw University of technology in the same year. An interesting feature of the design is the use of an unusual solution when it comes to the shape of the building, namely in its back, garden part. This part is distinguished by symmetrically arranged, aerodynamic elements of the façade which replaced the sharp corners in the front part of the boarding house. Such geometrical arrangement brings to mind associations with the shape of a small castle. This building is on Gdynia Modernism Route.
