The National Rugby Stadium

The National Rugby Stadium is the only structure of its kind in the country built specifically for the game of rugby. The construction of the pitch covered with a synthetic surface and of the stands began in 2008 and on 14 February 2010 the players of the Arka Gdynia Rugby Club played its opening match with a Polish national team. Under a completely canopied stand capable of accommodating approximately 3 thousand fans, including disabled persons, there is an office, sports facilities, conference hall, storerooms and restaurant and food outlets. The comfort of watching the games at ul. Kazimierza Górskiego 10 is enhanced by the basic height of the seats, which is 2.5 m in relation to the pitch.

The most important events:

• 14.02.2010 – the opening match between Arka Gdynia Rugby Club and the Polish national team

• 27.02.2010 – the first official football (soccer) match between Arka Gdynia and Ruch Chorzów
