The Polish Navy Museum, whose 50th anniversary was celebrated in 2003, has established itself as one of Gdynia’s prominent landmarks. Today, it seems inconceivable to think of Kościuszki Square without the magnificent silhouette of the Błyskawica (The Thunder), or Seaside Boulevard (Bulwar Nadmorski) without the Outdoor Exhibition of Naval Arms and Weaponry. The range of exhibits, presenting the rich and glorious history of Polish sea warfare, is not only for sailors and seamen but, above all, for legions of tourists from all over the country and abroad.
