A walk along the cultural trails in the Pomorskie Voivodeship is an unforgettable adventure combined with discovering interesting, often mysterious places and learning about the history of the region.

Gothic Castle Trail

This extremely popular trail takes you around 12 medieval buildings located in the Pomorskie and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships. The over 250-kilometer route will take you into the world of medieval culture and tradition. It is worth visiting the museums located in the buildings and taking part in numerous historical reenactments and knight shows.

Amber Trail

This is an extremely exciting journey along the old trade route connecting the countries around the Mediterranean Sea  with the Baltic Sea. It is worth visiting the Amber Museum in the Old Mill in Gdansk, seeing the amber altar in St. Bridget church, take a walk along Mariacka Street, called the Amber Street.

The Lighthouse Trail

Everyone associates lighthouses with the Polish coast and relaxation by the Baltic Sea. When choosing a holiday destination on one of the sandy beaches, it is worth paying attention to whether one of the 17 lighthouses located on the Polish coast is towering above the treetops somewhere nearby. There are 10 of them in Pomorskie and each of them is worth visiting.

The Pomeranian Trail of Hydrotechnical Monuments

A popular trail for technology enthusiasts and seekers of interesting water developments in various corners of the province. The trail is made up of canals, aqueducts, locks, bridges, water mills, a water forge, a dam, a water fortress and a pumping station. In total, there are over 60 objects – and although it is difficult to visit them all at once, it is easy to include individual monuments in the plan doing other trips.

St. James way in Pomorskie

This cultural trail, which is part of the Way of St. James, called Camino Polaco del Norte, is dedicated to those who want to combine their journey with a spiritual experience and the discovery of cultural heritage.

The Way of St. James has been one of the most important Christian pilgrimage routes since the XIIth century, leading to Santiago de Compostela. Through its connections with the main route, it is an interesting proposition for tourists, pilgrims, hikers and cyclists. In the Pomorskie Voivodeship, it is a 326.4 km long.

By covering the Pomorskie section of the Way of St. James, we will experience a spiritual transformation and find time to organize our thoughts.

The Pomorskie Cistercian Trail

There are three main post-Cistercian complexes in the Pomorskie Voivodeship: Oliwa and Pelplin (former male monasteries) and Zarnowiec (former female monastery). The trail is attractive for sacral architecture lovers, monastic complexes and art history.

Numerous works of painting, sculpture, and woodcarving will delight many a tourist. The former glory of the Cistercian abbeys is also evidenced by numerous smaller buildings: parish churches, chapels, manors and farm buildings scattered around the main residences of the grey monks and nuns.

The Copernicus Trail

A tourist trail that commemorates the figure of Nicolaus Copernicus. In the Pomorskie Voivodeship, the Copernicus Trail is about 90 kilometres long. The main cities on the trail associated with the astronomer’s activity in the Pomorskie Voivodeship are Kwidzyn, Sztum, Malbork and Gdansk.

The Trail of Manors and Palaces of Northern Kashuby

Following this trail, we will learn more about the rich history of Pomorskie families and their estates. Visiting subsequent buildings on the trail, we will learn about the turbulent history of these areas. In some manors or palaces you can spend the night, others serve as local restaurants, surrounded by parks with old trees are an interesting tourist proposition.

The Hansa Trail

Since 2004, it has been the official cultural trail in Europe. The HANSA Trail creates a network of cities that were historically linked to each other by common trade. The aim of this association is to develop tourism and trade in member cities. The city of Gdansk, as the organizer of the International Hansa Congress, prepared this event in 1997 and in 2024.
