The Heritage Park in Nadole
In 1982, the Museum of the Land of Puck purchased the traditional, 19th Century Kashubian rural farmstead from the Rutz family, which was opened to tourists after undergoing renovations.
The preserved farmstead contains a complex of richly-equipped buildings, which recreate the living and working conditions of a past Kashubian family. It includes a multigenerational peasant's hut, a stone basement for the storage of agricultural products, wells with winch mechanisms, a baking furnace, rabbitries and a vegetable garden. The barn from the beginning of the 20th Century hosts a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Pomeranian beekeeping and an exposition of farm machinery. There is a treadmill (rozwark) in front of the barn. During the summer, there is a colourful flower garden in front of the house of the middle-class farmer (peasant). The complex also includes a multifunctional barn, which served as the home of horses, cattle, pigs, sheep and poultry. The former pigpen building hosts a wood processing workshop with a rich collection of carpentry tools. A vehicle shed was added to the barn, which served as the garage for the rural modes of transportation. A local fisherman's homestead was reconstructed near the lakeshore. It is composed of a bolt fisherman's house covered with reed, a mangle, smokehouse and net shed.
In order to imagine the life and work of the people on the lake, you should visit both the peasant's and the fisherman's hut.
