The Wybrzeże Theatre is one of the best-known and esteemed venues on the theatrical map of Poland. More than 100 thousand people come to visit us every year.

Our performances are invited to the most important Polish festivals, including the Warsaw Theatre Meetings, the Divine Comedy festival, and the Premiere Festival. The artistic company of the Wybrzeże Theatre has won the most prestigious Polish theatrical awards, including the Swinarski Award (which went to Grzegorz Wiśniewski for his "Fall of the Gods"), prizes and distinctions at the Nationwide Competition for a Staging of an Old Work of European Literature and the Nationwide Competition for the Staging of a Polish Modern Play.

The Wybrzeże Theatre features the Large Stage, the Malarnia Stage, and the Black Hall in Gdańsk, the Chamber Stage in Sopot, and the Summer Stage in Pruszcz Gdański. The Wybrzeże Theatre is also the organiser of the Wybrzeże Sztuki Festival. Seven editions of the festival have been organised to date, presenting some of the most talked-about and controversial recent performances in Polish theatre, including "Oczyszczeni" (the Purified) directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski and "Tęczowa Trybuna" (The Rainbow Tribune) by Paweł Demirski and Monika Strzępka. This year's fifth edition of the festival will be inaugurated by a premiere of "Wyspa Niczyja. Mapping" (No Man's Island. Mapping) directed by Jarosław Tumidajski. The detailed schedule of the 5th edition will be released soon.
