The Pomorskie Voivodeship is not only beautiful beaches and seaside resorts. It is also a place where you can discover the incredible beauty of wildlife and peaceful, charming towns. One of the greatest treasures of this region are the Pomorskie lakes, the most beautiful of which are located in Kashuby. It is there, among picturesque landscapes, that we will find a real paradise for lovers of nature and active recreation.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit Kashuby and see the beautiful Pomorskie lakes yet, it’s worth changing that. We have prepared for you an overview of the 4 most beautiful of them, along with a description of nearby tourist attractions.

Radunskie Lake – one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in Kashuby, famous for its picturesque landscapes, green hills and sandy beaches. One of the most characteristic places in this area is the famous “Kashubian Gate”, a narrow isthmus between the Radunskie Gorne and Dolne Lakes. It is also worth visiting nearby towns, such as Koscierzyna, where you can see a historic church and walk around the charming Old Town, or go with your children to the amusement park – Costerina Park.

Wdzydze Lake, or the "Kashubian Sea"

Lake Wdzydze, also called the “Kashubian Sea” – located in the Wdzydze Landscape Park, is another treasure of Kashuby that cannot be missed. This lake is famous for its crystal clear water, beautiful beaches and picturesque landscapes. While resting on its banks, in your free time it is worth visiting the nearby Wdzydze Kiszewskie and the Museum – Kashubian Ethnographic Park located there, named after T. I. Gulgowscy, there are also the ruins of the Teutonic castle in the town of Kiszewski Castle, which is one of the most interesting monuments in southern Kashuby.

Zarnowieckie Lake – a lake that delights not only with its beauty, but also with many tourist attractions. In the area there is the Przebendowski Palace, which was built in the XVIIIth century and is currently the seat of the Kashuby-Pomorskie Writing and Music Museum. It is also worth visiting the rope park near the lake, which offers plenty of attractions for the whole family.

Ostrzyckie Lake – a beautiful lake located among picturesque hills and forests. It is an ideal place for water sports enthusiasts who can try their hand at windsurfing or sailing. There are also many hiking trails in the area that allow you to discover the beauty of Kashuby. While in the area, it is worth visiting the viewing point – Jastrzebia Gora, from which there is a wonderful view of the so-called Kashubian Switzerland.

Going north, a few kilometers beyond Ostrzyce, to the town of Radoszewo, we will find Gora Sobotka, another viewpoint. Here we will find an additional attraction, namely the reconstructed Kozlak windmill!
