The Pomeranian Voivodeship offers permanent ferry connections with Sweden, Finland, and Germany. The Polish Baltic Shipping Company Polferries takes passengers from Gdańsk to Nynäshamn, whereas Gdynia is where the Stena Line heads off to Karlskrona, and Finn Lines to Helsinki and Rostock. Gdańsk and Gdynia, as port cities, have excellent connections with Scandinavia. A safe and comfortable journey is guaranteed by the Polish ferry operator providing three ferries, two of which – m/f “Scandinavia” and m/v “Baltivia” – run on the Gdańsk - Nynäshamn (Sweden) line. Stena Spirit and Stena Vision are the Stena Line’s high-tech, comfortable ferries on which tourists will get to Karlskrona.

The Polferries passenger and car ferries are now advanced and safe vessels, valued both by individual and bulk-cargo clients. They meet all the requirements imposed on Baltic seafaring operators. Besides about 250 people, m/v "Baltivia" holds 30 passenger cars. M/f "Scandinavia" in turn, with enough room for over 1800 passengers, has external and internal tourist cabins and a complete sanitary system, and also specially-adjusted rooms and amenities for the disabled.

In Gdynia, Polferries operates its own Marine Travel Agency where, thanks to its cooperation with many European travel agencies, you can buy tickets not only for Polferries, but also other ferry carriers' routes. The City of Gdynia has a permanent connection with Finland (Helsinki), operated by the Stena Line, one of the world's major ferry carriers, boasting a cutting-edge fleet of 35 ferries and an extensive network of lines including 16 ferry lines in Scandinavia and the UK. The second ferry crossing offered by the City of Gdynia starts in Gdynia and reaches Rostock - passengers can travel to this Hansa town three times a week.

Ferry stations are accessible by train or airplane. The Terminals can be reached by public bus or tram transport, or by taxi.
